THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH IS STILL A LEGEND

The latest edition of eSKEPTIC magazine contains an article about Anti-Aging Claims. That online magazine is published by The Skeptics Society, an atheist group. I am a regular subscriber to that publication. And I often find some very good articles, in spite of the fact that they oppose belief in God.
It may surprise you to learn that they often publish something that is right in line with the word of God. And the latest edition is evidence of that.
The article about “anti-aging claims” is well researched and well written. The article explores the work of longevity clinics that offer “age optimization services,” as well as “aesthetic facial rejuvenation” and “youth maintenance.”
They also discuss the more common things about taking care of yourself that we are all familiar with. Things like diet, exercise, supplements and hormonal treatments. Some of the things they discuss are just common sense things; others are much more exotic and would be unavailable to all but the super-rich.
But then, toward the end of the article, they have a summation entitled “Facing Facts.” The fundamental fact they state is this: “Death is an intrinsic part of life.”
There is no fountain of youth. Ponce de Leon, whose name is attached to the Fountain of Youth legend, wasn’t really looking for such a place as he slogged through Florida. But if that Spanish explorer had been looking for it, he would not have found it because it does not exist.
And, while the modern-day Ponce de Leons continue their research, they won’t find it either. Because it does not exist.

THE FINAL WORD

The article, as I noted earlier, contains a truth that is right in line with the word of God. It is that contains the following statement.
“…it is appointed unto men once to die…”
Unless the Lord returns in our lifetime, that means you and I are going to die. Nobody gets out of this thing called “life” alive.
Yet, there is something beyond this life. There is the very real and sure opportunity for man to live forever. Forever young. Forever strong. Forever glorious.
It’s in your Bible. Read it. It’s in
Now , if they would only publish that in eSKEPTIC.
Blessings to you, my forever friends,
–Max
