JUST A REMINDER

Most of my readers are church going people. You have probably already heard something like I am giving you today. If you have, then let this serve as a reminder.
Lots of folks almost live and die by the elections. Some are sure that if candidate “A” is elected, it will mean the end of America. Others believe that candidate “A” is the only salvation for America. The same can be said of candidate “B” (or “C” or “D”).
What this comes down to is a matter of who is really in charge. I am not suggesting that it makes no difference who is elected. It does make a difference. But, let us be reminded that there is someone greater who is really in charge.
The God of heaven controls the destiny of nations.
Here are three facts from the Book of Daniel that we need to be reminded of this week:
Fact #1: “There is a God in heaven” (). He is the One who knows and controls the future.
Fact #2: “The Most High rules in the kingdom of men” (). It is God who ultimately directs the destiny of nations. They are in His hand. He does with them as He wills–even “removing kings and raising up kings” ().
Facts #3: “God keeps His covenant with those who love Him” (). Those who love and obey God have entered into a covenant with Him. God does not abandon those who are in His covenant. He does not reject the faithful.

THE FINAL WORD

These facts from the Book of Daniel should encourage us in times like these–and in all times!
God is always in charge. He is the ultimate ruler, arbitrator and judge.
Trust God. Do His will. If you do that, then you are going to be OK. You really are!
That’s the reminder for today.
May God be with you, my dear friends,
–Max
